General Data Protection Regulation

On 25th May 2018, a new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect. It regulates how organisations can collect, keep and use information about you.
In becoming a member of the RSPBA, you effectively entered into a contract with the organisation for the purpose of delivering your membership services allowing you to be a member of a band and to participate in our events. It is therefore a contractual requirement of this membership that you provide us with your personal details which we will use in line with our published Privacy Policies.
The RSPBA has a legitimate interest in processing your Personal Data to ensure the efficient running of the organisation and the events associated with delivering our stated Aims & Objectives.
In light of the new Regulation we have updated our Privacy Policies and have made alterations to certain business process and forms. The RSPBA is committed to being transparent about how it collects and uses Personal Data and to meet our data protection obligations.
