Banish the winter blues at the Pipe Major's Wheel of Fortune competition

The City of Edinburgh Pipe Band is inviting piping fans suffering close-season withdrawal symptoms to banish the winter blues by joining them at their annual Pipe Major's Wheel of Fortune competition.

The event, which will be held in Danderhall Miners Club on Saturday 7th February, will see a field of top pipers pit their wits against the Wheel of Fortune, where a spin of the golden chanter determines the types of tunes they will play.

Alasdair Henderson, Angus J MacColl, Angus Nicholson, Brian Lamond, Callum Beaumont, Douglas Murray, Lee Moore and Niall Stewart will feature in this year's competition, where musical expression comes to the fore in a relaxed and informal environment.
