Class 1 - Chanter under 12 years - 2 parted March

Class 2 - Chanter under 14 years - 4 parts March (any time signature but not a 2 parted March repeated)

Note: Competitors in these classes must not have performed on the bagpipes in public in any guise whatsoever. Competitors can only enter in one of the above classes

Class 3 - Piping under 14 years - 2 parted March any time signature

Note: Open to competitors who have never played bagpipes in a competition. This class is aimed specifically at beginners, entrants cannot play up into other classes.

Class 4 - Piping under 14 years - 4 parted 2/4 March

Class 5 - Piping under 16 years - Slow Air & 4 parted Jig

Class 6 - Piping under 18 years - March, Strathspey & Reel (each to be 4 parted)

Class 7 - Piping Open (No age limit!) - Own choice 4-6 minutes

Entry Fee £4 per class. Age to be taken as on day of competition.
