Grade 1 Worlds Qualifying Draw Now Out
 After the European Championships the prequalifiers for the Grade 1 event at the World Pipe Band Championships became clear. Exact timings will follow over the coming days but beginning at 09:00 the Grade 1 Qualifiying session is as follows:
Grade 1 - Qualifiying Session 13 Bands
01. Alberta Caledonia - Canada
02. LA Scots - USA
03. Ballinderry Bridge
04. Tayside Police
05. Dysart and Dundonald
06. Lothian and Borders Police
07. Ballycoan
08. Windsor Police - Canada
09. The Clan Gregor Society
10. Manawatu Scottish Society- New Zealand
11. 78th Highlanders Halifax Citadel - Canada
12. Bleary and District
13. Australia Highlanders
5 bands will Qualify and join the 9 prequalified bands who are in alphabetic order:
Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia
Field Marshal Montgomery
Robert Wiseman Dairies Vale of Atholl
Scottish Lion 78th Fraser Highlanders - Canada
Scottish Power
Simon Fraser University - Canada
St. Laurence O'Toole - Eire
Strathclyde Police
The House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead
This will give a Grade 1 final in the afternoon of 14 bands.
